Colchester Emergency Night Shelter, under the auspices of Colchester Housing Forum, organises the Winter Reserve Accommodation Project (WRAP) which sees homeless people put up in venues such as church halls when the night shelter is full. WRAP operates between 1st January and 1st March providing shelter for homeless people when the Night shelter is full.
This is an urgent request for sleeping bags and air mattresses. If you have any you no longer require, please contact Fiona Broom Community Leader at Emmaus (a partner charity within the Housing Forum), who will pass on these items to the Night shelter for use at the WRAP venues. Each venue is manned by volunteers.
There is also has a need for coats, hats and thick jumpers you no longer use.

All donations will be warmly received. Sincere thanks for any help you can offer.
